About
Which Briefly this is.
Briefly — the personalized AI news briefing at brieflylab.ai, also written as BrieflyLab — turns the day's essential news into a short audio briefing shaped around your role, with a spoken question always one interruption away and a citation behind every claim. Several unrelated products share the name; this page is about this one.
The problem it exists to solve.
Most news products are paid for with your attention, so they are built to maximise it: endless feeds, duplicate takes on the same story, and headlines engineered to be clicked rather than understood. Briefly is built on the opposite trade — you pay a subscription, and in return the product's only job is to get you accurately caught up and let you go. It is a briefing that ends, not a feed that doesn't.
What the product is.
- A personalized daily audio briefing A short setup chat captures your role, industry, preferred depth and delivery time. Each day's briefing — four to six stories — is selected against that profile and read aloud by a licensed AI voice.
- A briefing you can question Interrupt any story with a spoken question and get an answer grounded in retrieved sources, citations attached. No strong source, no fluent guess — Briefly says so instead.
- Text and sources, always Full transcripts, and links from every story to the original reporting. The audio is the default, never a lock-in.
How it's made, in public.
The pipeline is documented where anyone can read it: how a briefing gets made walks every stage from vetted feeds to the checks a script must survive before it is spoken; the source list is generated from the same registry the pipeline actually reads; and the AI disclosure states plainly which parts are machine-made, which are decided by people, and the honest limits of both.
How it makes money.
Subscriptions only: $7.99/week after a 3-day free trial. No advertising, no sponsored placements, no selling of anything in the briefing to anyone else. The incentive structure is the product's most load-bearing feature, which is why it is stated on every page that discusses money.
Reaching the people behind it.
Support, refunds, corrections, and press all start at hello@brieflylab.ai — a person reads it. If a briefing got something wrong, say so: the correction is carried in the next briefing rather than quietly edited away.
Hear it for yourself.
