Questions people ask before subscribing.
- Is this another podcast or newsletter?
- No. Briefly prepares one concise briefing around your role and interests. Listen hands-free, then ask a follow-up the moment you want more context.
- Where does the news come from?
- Briefly works from published reporting and primary sources. Every story keeps its citations, so you can inspect the source instead of taking a summary on faith.
- Can I choose what I hear?
- Yes. During setup, you choose your role, preferred depth, and delivery time. Your story mix adapts to that profile.
- How long is a briefing?
- A few focused minutes: four to six stories chosen for your role, explained without the filler. Interrupt with a question whenever you want to go deeper on one of them.
- Can I read instead of listen?
- Yes. Every briefing keeps a full transcript, and every story keeps its links to the original reporting, so the text is always one tap away.
- What platforms does Briefly run on?
- The web app is available today and works on your phone. An iOS app is in development — join the waitlist below and we'll email you when the TestFlight opens.
- Is the voice AI-generated?
- Yes. Briefings use a licensed AI voice. The writing is created from published sources, checked for accuracy, and presented with citations.
- What happens after the 3-day trial?
- Your subscription continues at $7.99/week — about $1.14 a day, billed weekly — unless you cancel before the trial ends. We email you before the first charge, and you can cancel anytime from your account settings.
- How do I cancel?
- Settings → Billing → Billing Portal, which opens your provider's secure page. Two clicks, no email required, no retention call. Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you already paid for.
- What if it isn't for me?
- Cancel during the 3-day trial and you're never charged. If you're billed and something went wrong, email hello@brieflylab.ai — refund requests are handled by a person, not a form.
